Vuosi oli 1998, kun ensimmäinen Studio Julmahuvin jakso pamahti ulos televisiosta. Tämä Yleisradion tuottama sketsisarja oli jättimenestys ja se voitti Venlan samaisena vuonna.
Sarjan takana häärivät kovan luokan tekijät Petteri Summanen, Jukka Rasila, Tommi Korpela ja Janne Reinikainen. Sarjan ohjaaja Jani Volanen toimi myös pääkäsikirjoittajana.
Studio Julmahuvista kumpusi monia legendaarisia juttuja, kuten vaikkapa Muksuluuri, jossa Rasila esitti riemukasta Touko-Poukoa. Myös sketsi Roudasta rospuuttoon kuului ikimuistoiseen rosteriin ja siitä voit katsoa pätkän alta!
